In spring, Wrocław blooms and amazes with its beauty! Below, I’ll share some wonderful locations where you can admire nature in full bloom. And, of course, take some beautiful photos to remember!
Magnolias
Magnolias usually bloom in late March or early April, depending on how warm the weather is. They have stunning buds and are truly breathtaking! Keep in mind that if the weather is cold or rainy, the magnolias can lose their petals quite quickly. The blooming season typically lasts about 1 to 2 weeks.
In Wrocław, you can find several magnolia spots. Some are in private areas, while others are right on the street.
- The Botanical Garden — Naturally, you’ll find the greatest variety here. The magnolia alley is easy to find, as it’s located right near the main path.

2. The Old Library of Wrocław (Stara Biblioteka)
Currently, this is a restaurant’s premises, so I wouldn’t recommend just walking in from the street to take photos. However, you can always ask the staff—they might allow you to take pictures if you order something at the restaurant.
If you take a stroll along the same street, Mickiewicza, you’ll see many more magnolias. Unfortunately, most of them are behind fences, but you can still see how magnificent they are from the sidewalk.
Nearby, you’ll find the Japanese Garden. However, don’t expect to see many magnolias there (maybe just one or two trees). Also, keep in mind that they are located by the water, which makes them quite tricky to photograph.
3. Rondo Stop
If you get off at the “Rondo” tram stop, you can find a few magnolias there as well. One is located right in the center of the roundabout (though it’s not very lush), and there are a few larger ones off to the side.
4. Szczytnicki Park
There are also several magnolias in Szczytnicki Park. One of them is located near the cherry blossom alley. However, it is quite tall, so it might not be the most convenient spot for photos.
5. Arkady Capitol
Near theatre
6. Konsulat Generalny Republiki Federalnej Niemiec — str Podwale 75-77
There are always a lot of visitors
Cherry Blossoms (Sakura)
Next to bloom is usually the sakura. It features beautiful pink flowers, though you can also find white varieties.
As I mentioned above, there is a Cherry Blossom Alley in Szczytnicki Park. You will find plenty of trees here, but keep in mind that it’s always very crowded. The alley is even marked on Google Maps, so it won’t be hard to find.
The second location where you can see them is the Botanical Garden.

Rhododendrons
Another highlight of Wrocław is the blooming rhododendrons. These are bushes with multi-colored flowers ranging from pink and white to deep purple. In a way, they are somewhat reminiscent of peonies.
Usually, they bloom from late April through May. Different varieties bloom at different times, so you have plenty of chances to enjoy them more than once.
- The Botanical Garden offers the widest selection.
- Szczytnicki Park also has many of them—look near the Centennial Hall (Hala Stulecia), not far from the wooden church.
- Mickiewicza Street (the section bordering the park) is another great spot to find them.
- Zamek Topacz
I also highly recommend visiting the Wojsławice Arboretum (Arboretum Wojsławice). The only downside is that it’s located outside the city, so the commute can be a bit long.

And if you’d like to keep beautiful memories of this amazing city in the form of a professional photo shoot — I’d love to invite you to one! I offer individual, couple, maternity, and family sessions.
